Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data ClassicTanki (the game and website at classictanki.eu, and the desktop launcher) processes, why, and what your rights are. ClassicTanki is run by the ClassicTanki team (“we”). Contact us through the Support Center on our Discord server, discord.gg/classictanki.

What we collect

We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, we do not sell data, and we do not build profiles. There are no real-money payments in the game: Tankoins are an in-game currency.

Stored in your browser

The game keeps your settings (graphics, sound, camera) and the site language in your browser’s local storage. If you tick Remember on the login screen, your nickname and password are saved in this browser so it can log you in automatically — do not tick it on a shared computer. Clearing site data removes all of this. These items are necessary for features you ask for, so no consent banner is needed.

Who else processes data

• Cloudflare delivers and protects the website; every request passes through its network, including your IP address.
• Discord, if you join our server or use the desktop launcher’s Rich Presence. Rich Presence talks only to the Discord app on your computer and shares the game screen or battle map — never your nickname, password or chat.
• Our server host, which stores the server and database.

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.

How long we keep it

• Account and game data: while your account exists. Ask us to delete it at any time.
• Chat messages and moderation records: as long as needed to moderate and handle appeals.
• Web server logs: 14 days. Connection limits use your IP address only in memory while you are connected.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, a copy in a portable format, or object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to us in the Discord Support Center from the account concerned, or tell us your nickname so we can confirm it is yours. You can also complain to a data protection authority — in Bulgaria, the Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg).

Children

If you are under 14, ask a parent or guardian before creating an account.

Desktop launcher

The launcher collects nothing of its own. It loads the game from classictanki.eu, and checks classictanki.eu/downloads for updates and classictanki.eu/launcher/news.json for news; these are normal web requests.

Changes

We will update this page when we change how data is handled, and announce significant changes on Discord.
